CLASSROOM EXPECTATIONS AND CONSEQUENCES
Classroom Rules and Expectations
-Students should be in the classroom and in their seats when the bell rings.
-When the bell rings to begin class, students should be quiet and focused on the lesson.
-Students should be prepared for class (Having all the materials).
-Students should raise their hands and wait to be called on before speaking
-Students are expected to be respectful toward their peers and their teachers. We are all here to support and help each other.
-Students should pay attention and follow directions.
-If students have difficulty understanding directions or concepts, they should feel free to raise their hands and ask questions.
-Students that are late to class will need a pass.
-No food,drink or chewing gum are allowed in the classroom.
-No permission to the restroom during class.(Use at the beginning)
-Cellular phone is not allowed in class.
Absences -Students who are absent due to illness or other circumstances are expected to make up the work that they missed. You have 5 days to make up all work that you have missed. It is YOUR RESPONSIBILITY to get all notes,handouts,and assignments. If you are absent on the day BEFORE a test or ANNOUNCED quiz, you will still take the test or quiz. REMEMBER YOU HAVE 5 DAYS IN WHICH TO MAKE IT UP, IF YOU DON'T A ZERO IS ENTERED. We will help in any way possible so that those who missed class do not fall behind. If you need help,contact us or visit during office hours.
CONSEQUENCES for failure to meet the stated expectations are:
1.Verbal warning.
2.Student-Teacher conference.
3.Parent-Teacher conference.
4.Referral to administration.
In a severe case the student will be referred to the administration immediately.
